Advertising Terms and Conditions

Every advertiser and advertising agency who lodges an advertisement for publication on the CathNews Website or CathNews Daily Email operated by Church Resources agrees to the following conditions:

 

  1. Church Resources reserves the right to reject any advertisement which conflicts with the CathNews publication's purpose, tone or design.
  2. If you wish to cancel your booking you must do so at least 7 working days before the advertisement (or the first advertisement in an advertising package) is due to appear in the CathNews Daily Email or on the CathNews Website. Otherwise you will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the cost of the advertisement or package.
  3. All prices listed are exclusive of GST. Catholic organisations are not subject to GST.
  4. Church Resources has the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
  5. Church Resources has no liability in relation to any failure of telecommunications services or systems which affect the publishing of the advertisement or the publication of a campaign.
  6. Church Resources endeavours to make sure your advertisement is displayed correctly on all web browsers and email clients but has no liability if the advertisement is not displayed correctly when viewed using a different email client to Microsoft Outlook 2003 and a different web browser to Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.  
  7. Job listings on the CathNews Website are published for a maximum of 4 weeks. There is no reduction in price if you do not wish your advertisement to be published for the full 4 weeks.
  8. Any advertising packages put together by Church Resources are for a maximum 12 month period, or as specified in the booking form.
  9. All content must be provided in the correct format as per the specifications outlined on the CathNews Media Kit or CathNews "Advertise With Us" webpage.
  10. All content for advertisements must be submitted at least 3 working days before the advertisement is scheduled to appear in the CathNews Daily Email or CathNews Website. This excludes advertisements designed by Church Resources for which content must be submitted 7 working days before the advertisement is scheduled to appear in the CathNews daily email or website.
  11. Advertising on the CathNews Daily Email and CathNews Website is subject to availability.
  12. The design service offered by Church Resources costs $150 +GST and only includes 2 changes by the advertiser, except in cases where there was an oversight by Church Resources. After 2 changes you will be charged an additional $50 per change.
  13. It is the responsibility of the advertiser to submit the content for advertisements in the correct format and within the correct period of time before the advertisement is due to appear. If the advertiser fails to do so they will be charged for the full cost of placing the advertisement.
  14. Advertisements on the CathNews Website (This only includes advertisements placed in the leaderboard, skyscraper and square positions) are guaranteed 7,500 raw impressions, with ‘raw impression' meaning each time the ad is displayed to a visitor to the CathNews website. If the ad fails to receive 7,500 raw impressions and the ad appeared for the full 7 days on the CathNews website, it will remain on the website until it reaches 7,500 raw impressions. 
  15. Advertisements placed on the CathNews Website (This only includes advertisements placed in the leaderboard, skyscraper and square positions) are shown on a rotating basis with a maximum of 5 advertisements per position per week being displayed.
  16. Church Resources will send advertisers a proof of advertisements scheduled to appear in the  CathNews Daily Email but cannot guarantee the advertisement will appear in the exact same form as shown in the proof. 
  17. Church Resources cannot send through a proof when advertising on the CathNews website and it is thus the responsibility of the advertiser to make sure the advertisement is displayed in the form the advertiser intended the advertisement to be displayed. If the advertisement is not displayed correctly it is the responsibility of the advertiser to inform Church Resources as soon as possible if there is any problems either by phone (02 9439 2622) or email (salesmkt@churchresources.com.au).
  18. Church Resources may not publish an advertisement unless they have an email confirmation (Sent to salesmkt@churchresources.com.au) from the advertiser to publish the advertisement. Confirmation must be received by the Church Resources at least 24 hours before the advertisement is schedule to appear. If the advertiser fails to advise Church Resources to publish an advertisement they may still be liable for the full cost of advertising. For advertising packages or multiply advertisements each individual advertisement must be approved.
  19. Once an advertiser has submitted either the Job Advertising Form or the General Advertising Form, the advertiser enters into a formal contact with Church Resources in which they accept all of the Terms And Conditions mentioned and are liable to pay for any advertising specified in the form. If any of the information entered in the form is incorrect it is the responsibility of the advertiser to inform Church Resources as soon as possible either by phone (02 9439 2622) or email (salesmkt@churchresources.com.au).   
  20. All advertising package quotes put together by Church Resources are valid for 10 days only unless otherwise specified.
  21. All advertisers of advertising packages will be invoiced the full amount of the package once the first advertisement appears in the CathNews daily email or CathNews website. All other advertising will be invoiced at the end of the month the advertisement appeared in the CathNews daily email or CathNews website.
