---

The full cast of The Sound Of Music will reunite for the first time in 45 years, with Julie Andrews - who played the role of Maria, a postulant from a monastery - and Christopher Plummer joining their seven fictional children on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Andrews and Plummer and the former child stars who played the seven von Trapp siblings will talk about making the 1965 Oscar-winning movie and their lives since it went on to become one of the most popular musicals ever, said a Reuters report on ABC.

The reunion will be broadcast on October 29 in the United States, Winfrey's Harpo Productions says.

Some of the real von Trapp children, who travel the world performing songs made famous by the movie, will also appear on the show.

The Sound Of Music won five Oscars, including best picture.
