Two Catholic Education staff die in NT crash

Published: November 08, 2012

The Northern Territory Catholic Education Office has confirmed that two of three people killed in a crash in Darwin were staff members, reports the ABC.

Police say a taxi driver and his two passengers were killed instantly when they collided with a cement truck at Hidden Valley.

The driver of the cement truck was treated for shock and minor injuries, and taken to Royal Hospital for observation.

Police say it appears as though the taxi driver was trying to do a U-turn and drove head-on into the oncoming truck. The cement truck then rolled on to the taxi.

The two Catholic Education Office employees had been working at remote area Territory schools.

  1. It is with great sadness that I am informed of Greg Crow's passing to eternal life. I have fond memories of him when I was a student at St Johns College Lakemba NSW.
I knew him then as Brother Pius of the De La Salle Order.
I had the great pleasure of seeing him at one of St Johns Old Boys reunions. I and I am sure many of St Johns old boys would wish to send our condolences to Greg's Family.
A Great man is being missed.
I am sure he is with the angles sitting at the banquet table enjoying God's favour.
