Ethics conversations to have with your kids

A teacher at Cranbrook school in the Eastern Suburbs is encouraging parents to have ethical conversations with their children through a new book.

Ethics 101: conversations to have with your kids, was written by deputy headmaster Michael Parker.

It includes 101 questions, which the head of the senior school said he hoped would generate thought and conversation about a range of moral issues.

"The single place most children get their ethical sense from is at home," he said.

The book includes basic questions such as "should you download your friend's USB from iTunes?" and "if your grandmother knits you a dreadful sweater for Christmas do you tell her the truth or do you lie?"
