St Mary’s College, Broome, is a co-educational, Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 Catholic College catering for 700 students. For over a hundred years the College has had a well-regarded history of educating students from across the Kimberley region.
Located on two campuses in the heart of the Broome community, the College draws on the heritage of our Catholic founders and the Aboriginal people of the Kimberley.
St Mary’s College is proudly recognised for being a safe environment that is inclusive and focused on individual student need. The school population is a rich fabric representing a diversity of cultures and backgrounds associated with the pearling era and Broome's unique history. St Mary’s College affirms its own multi-cultural identity and the cultural story of every student and family.
A strong relationship with the Broome Residential College enables many students from remote Aboriginal communities to attend the College. With over 50% of the student body being Aboriginal, the successful applicant will need to be sensitive to the needs and culture of Aboriginal people.
The College Board, more than 100 staff, and the school community are committed to our current Strategic and Capital Development Plans which will guide the College in 2019 and beyond.
