- Catholic Education, Western Australia
- Commence January 2019
The Catholic Education system in Western Australia provides education to approximately 77,000 young people in 162 schools and colleges across the state. Catholic Education in WA is comprised of four regions which align to the four dioceses, however, the education system is a single, state-based system which is unique to Catholic Education in Australia.
The four Catholic dioceses and their Bishops mandate a single entity, the Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia and its administrative arm, Catholic Education Western Australia, to oversee Catholic Education throughout the length and breadth of the state.
The Executive Director is appointed by the Bishops of Western Australia to support them in the development and improvement of Catholic Schools in accordance with the Terms of Reference as articulated in the Mandate to the Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia.
