OPINION
Beyond knowledge to wisdom
I believe this is one of the crisis points for contemporary Christianity. Put bluntly, its representatives do not seem wise. Yes, those representatives can give you any amount of information, some of them can even speak knowledgeably of Christian teachings. Wisdom is another thing altogether. - Fr Michael Whelan [More] - Aquinas Academy

Christmas decorations that could change the world

Caritas Australia has launched its range of Global Gifts, which are unique Christmas tree decorations available as a pack of five, each ornament representing a community in need.

CLICK HEREThe sets, which retail for $50, include a Christmas image hand-painted by artist Meredith Gaston.

Caritas says communities that will benefit from the sale of Caritas Global Gifts include the Gaza province in southern Mozambique, where the provision of water pumping facilities will ensure that families have access to safe, running water. Women will no longer have to spend many productive hours a day carting water and children can go to school instead of helping their mothers with this time consuming task.

The Caritas Global Gifts are printed on 100% recycled paper and have been packaged by men and women with an intellectual disability, providing employment and helping the environment too!

It is possible to order Caritas Global Gifts by calling 1800 024 243 or by visiting www.caritas.org.au.
