What students want on campus
At a time when young people know little about their faith, the challenge of religious formation on campus is daunting. Some chaplains have responded by reverting to a conservative "ghetto approach" to campus ministry. Whether this will serve the majority of students is dubious. University students are asked to develop a rigorous and sceptical eye. In such an environment, young people need to see that the Catholic faith is an evolving intellectual and spiritual tradition, one that welcomes their questions and takes their doubts seriously - Maurice Timothy Reidy
